Personality Test

Listening to: Enter Sandman by Metallica.

I recently took what is either called the Myers-Briggs Personality Test, or the Jung Personality Test. I'm not completely sure which one it is - I've heard it being called both of those names, but the website says Jung, so I'm going to call it Jung.

Now, Jung isn't like those classic personality tests where you answer a few questions and they tell you what kind of person you are - example: naturalist; Jung goes on a 50/50 basis, with four categories: Introverted vs. Extroverted, Sensing vs. Intuitive, Thinking vs. Feeling, and Perceiving vs. Judging. Basically, they take those categories and ask you 48 questions - 49 if you count the 'Are you male or female?' one at the beginning - and choose your type. In my case, my type was 'INTJ', which stood for Introverted-Intuitive-Thinking-Judging. What this means is that I am more of a private person, I see things more often than I 'feel' things, I trust my mind more than my heart, and I judge people instead of getting to know them. This particular match - 'INTJ' - means the following: "Mastermind" . Introverted intellectual with a preference for finding certainty. A builder of systems and the applier of theoretical models. Also, according to Jung, 2.3% of the population are 'Mastermind's, like myself.

Now, I will admit that I like being labelled at a 'Mastermind', and also that basically everything it told me about my personality was true. I recommend you all take it as well, so head on over there and try it out; it only takes, like, five minutes, and it's interesting. Hopefully you guys get results that don't bother you, or anything like that.

If You Could Only See

Title - song by Tonic.

The writing hasn't been going so well lately, but I'm trying. It seems I have, once again, fallen into a hole of a deep, black muck - more commonly known as 'Writer's Block'. It's a demon, is what it is. Wish it would just go away - I want to write, I really do. I have an idea of what I want the next chapter of Soul Fliers to be like, and of how to write the next outtake for Tier in Geist, but it's just not coming; everything I type just seems so forced, and forced writing is never good.

Soul Fliers may be put on hold for a while... a couple of days, or maybe I'll find some more inspiration today and be able to spit out the fourth chapter. We'll see, I guess. I did have the next three chapters finished, but my laptop did this little thing called 'crashing', and I lost them. Seriously, I didn't lose anything except those three chapters because I was an idiot and left the word documents open while I was downloading music. Too much stuff open = a crashing laptop. A little advice - you want a laptop, don't buy an HP. They suck. A lot.

I'm going to go and work on chapter four of Soul Fliers; hopefully something will pop out of me, or I will remember what I wrote in it before I lost it. Again, we'll see, I guess.

I Want You

Title - song by Kings of Leon.

Today, I signed up for a Twitter account. So if you would like to follow me on Twitter, my username is - of course - XlaraC.

I'm new to Twitter, so forgive me if I forget to add any updates I might have there. I've avoided Twitter in the past, but I think it's kind of like blogging, just in smaller, simpler text. Hopefully, I'll remember to update that, as well.

In Love With The 80's

Title - song by Relient K.

I posted the first chapter of Soul Fliers. Hopefully, you guys like it as much as I do, and hopefully you'll be patient with updates. I plan to update more often than I did with Tier in Geist, but I can make no promises. I cannot predict the future. I will try my best to stick to the schedule I will no doubt set for myself sometime soon, but we'll see how long that lasts.

Here's a link to the first chapter of Soul Fliers, as well as the blog:

Apocalypse, Please

Title - song by Muse.

My story, Tier in Geist, is almost finished, I am sad to say. The epilogue will be up soon, and I have already written a few outtakes. Email me at xlaraconners@live.co.uk if you have any ideas for either Tier in Geist outtakes or stories/oneshots you would like me to write - I'll try my best with them.

I am troubled with which story I will be putting up next - I know I said Moonlight, but I'm not quite ready to venture back into that world right now. Sure, I've edited what I already have, but I don't want to force my writing. That will have to wait. I've been working on a story called Soul Fliers for the Twilight fandom, and I am almost positive that I am going to be putting that one up. It definitely has a soft spot in my heart right now.

Hopefully, you'll enjoy Soul Fliers as much as I do, and all my hard work doesn't go to waste with writing it.

Remember me.
