RPG

Listening to: Loverman by Metallica.

Though it is still in the works, I have begun a sort of role-playing game forum. If you are interested in checking it out, you can find it at http://www.xlarac.freeforums.org. There are 37 characters in total, and so far I am the only one - which basically means that there are 36 open characters. Since the forum isn't completely up yet, if you would like information that you currently can't find, you can email me with your questions at xlaraconners@live.co.uk

Also, if you are interested in being on of the characters on the forum, email me for more information, subscribe to the forum, and then I will make sure it says that you have taken that character. I haven't figured out how everything works yet, so be patient with me, please.

Hopefully, this goes well - and I don't get bored of it to soon. As for my FanFiction, Soul Fliers is still on hold, and Play the Fox is going pretty good. I'm glad you guys like it!

School.

Listening to: What Part of Forever by Cee-lo Green.

School started two days ago - so far I enjoy my courses. Of course, this means that I won't be able to write/update as much as I did/have been during the summer. I still have Writer's Block, so there is that not going for me...

I will, of course, try my best to update as often as I can.

Anyways... Been hanging with friends pretty much all week, and my piano and guitar lessons begin next week. Can't wait! Having guitar lessons means that I won't have as much time on Wednesdays, though, so there is a downfall to learning how to play an instrument. Band rehearsal is tomorrow, and... ya...

Not much else to say.

Tomorrow

Listening to: Boston by Augustana.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of another year of school, which means that I won't have as much time to write as I would like. I wish I could just stay home all day and write, but it's kind of the law that I have to go to school. I don't really feel like breaking the law.

Random note - my parents just baked a cake; it smells really good.

Anyways, I will try my best to get what I can done, and I will write during classes if I have the time. This semester, I have English, Music, Travel & Tourism, and Science. I'm really looking forward to it. Don't be too disappointed if I don't update as much as I have been this summer - I still can't really believe that Tier in Geist is finished.

On the note of Tier in Geist, I am working on choosing a song that will be the 'official song', as it is, for the story. I have already chosen one for Soul Fliers (Soul Meets Body by Death Cab for Cutie) and The Game (Hey, Now by Augustana), and now I only need one for Tier in Geist. Hopefully, I will find one soon.

Nation

Listening to: Oh, Death by Jen Titus.

The title of this blog post is a title of a book - Nation by Terry Pratchett. Now, normally, I have pretty good opinions about books - actually, I haven't ever actually read a book/story that I can say I outright hated/hate.

Until now.

This book is just plain... horrible. No offence to you if you have read it and like it, I just... well... don't. For one, it was incredibly hard to get into... and the chapters were so long. Chapter two began on page 28, chapter three around page 55 or something like that... I am not a fan of large chapters. Now, Terry Pratchett did create a great alternate universe - so much like our own, and yet so very different - I just find that he didn't... display it well enough. I think this will be the one time that I don't send you a recommendation to read a book.

This blog post, I am going to be begging you (through the words I am typing) not to read Nation. Please... save yourself all the suffering and regret, and leave the book on the shelf... just walk by it at the library or book store, it is not worth your time. I only read it because I promised my school librarian that I would and review it for her over the summer - I now wish I had chosen a different book.

Anyways, now that that is over; Soul Fliers isn't getting anywhere, and it seems that my plan to get over my Writer's Block by writing The Game isn't going very well because I find it hard to begin writing the first chapter. It will be awhile before you get an update for that one, so hold on and wait for me - I promise I won't just leave you hanging.
