October Line-Up

Listening to: the sounds of Water for Elephants. (This movie is fantastic, I recommend that everybody watch it; of course, only after you've read the book, which is equally amazing).

This post is just about the writing I will be doing when, or possibly even before, October arrives. I have posted a few 'possible stories' on the spam blog, of which include some I have recently been giving a heavy thinking to. Here is a list of a few stories that I am going to be working on, as well as a little information about it. If it has already been mentioned on the spam blog, I'll just post a link to the post.

Kingdom of Children - thisisalinkthisisalinkthisisalink

Werewolf Tails: Paul - thisisalinkthisisalinkthisisalink

All is Different, Now - thisisalinkthisisalinkthisisalink

3 Shades of Isabella Cullen - thisisalinkthisisalinkthisisalink

Identical Mates -
Fandom: Water for Elephants/Twilight
Coupling Type: Main couple is a slash couple; Jacob Jankowski and Edward Cullen.
Summary: Not final; will come soon.

This is all I have been thinking about for awhile, but I'm not completely sure which I will officially add to the October or pre-October line-up. I guess only time will tell. For now, I will continue working on Afterglow as sort of a side project, and hopefully I'll be able to spit out a chapter or two of Edward's Inferno soon. As for the other stories, the following will remain on hiatus until I can get an idea of where they are going to go again.

Edward's Purgatorio
Masterpiece Theatre, Pt. 1
and Strange Imprints: Earn Your Stripes

Remember me.

EDIT: New idea.

Strawberry Roses -
Fandom: Twilight
Coupling Type: Canon; Isabella and Rosalie are OOC, though.
Summary: Not final - What if it was Isabella Hale instead of Rosalie? It is 1933, and Carlisle finds a dying Bella in the streets of Rochester. Will Edward like the egotistical girl, or will she need to wait for another prince?

Welcome back!

Listening to: Stupid Boy by Keith Urban.

Explanation of the title: you shall see.

It's so good to finally be posting on this blog again; unfortunately, I had to find a loophole to be able to post, as Blogger still seems to be having a few problems with posting - or maybe it's just me.

Anyways, this means that I won't be using my tumblr account as much, but who knows: maybe I'll get back to it after awhile.

Let's see, much to catch up on, however most of the things I've been wanting to put up will be on my spam blog, as most of it is possible story ideas and the like. Also, I've posted a new story recently called ZSE, so I'd appreciate it if you went and read it. Other than that, I have to go add some spam, so...

On the Road Again...

Listening to: Fool's Overture by Supertramp.

Explanation of the title: After coming back from a nearly-week-long trip to New York, we left again to go and visit my brother who lives eight hours away from us. I can't wait to get back home, no matter how much I love seeing him.

I made another picture for a blog post. Isn't it pretty?

Spamming You All Since 2011

Listening to: Hotel California by the Eagles.

Explanation of the title: you shall see.

Yesterday I put up a new blog that is purely for possible upcoming stories. I may never get around to actually writing these stories, but I may, so I'd like to share my ideas with you all, and have you comment on which ones you find interesting. This blog is simply called XlaraC's Spam (original, I know) and can be found at this link.

Also, I will be putting a poll up on that blog because the poll on my FF homepage doesn't seem to be working. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Baby Bella

Listening to: my grandparents talking to my mother.

Explanation of the title: I have a two-year-old second cousin named Bella who was visiting with her mother last night.

I made a little picture-like-thingy instead of writing a blog post. Enjoy! :D

Into the Swing of Things

Listening to: the sounds of Donnie Darko.

Explanation of the title: to be determined...

So, I'm sure you've all noticed that I haven't been updating or doing much of anything lately. I won't go into it much, but the reason for this temporary hiatus (one with no notice) came in the form of a family crisis. I'm still a long ways away from getting over it, but I'm working toward being involved with all of my internet doings again.

Stay tuned!

Listening to: nothing.

Explanation for the title: below.

No updates for a while. Like I said in the title, sorry. Something came up and... I just can't at the moment.

Haven't Had a Dream In a Long Time

Listening to: Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths.

Explanation of the blog title: the line of the song that I heard just before writing the title.

I just recently posted a new story titled Masterpiece Theatre: Part I. Currently, I only have a very rough idea/outline for the story, but I know it will be in three parts, and I have a couple of character sketches planned out, so at least I'm not going in blind like I do with a lot of my stories (I love planning things, but most stories are just began on a whim, which this one semi is, but I promise I will not give up until I am done, even if I'm thirty by the time this promise is completed).

Below is the banner and the summary, as well as an excerpt from the prologue for Part I.

Summary: /Slash/Edward-OC/ Haven't you ever wanted to do something that will get you remembered, like Charles Dickens or Jane Austen? Anthony Swan has been searching his entire life for the chance to leave something behind. Can he find a muse for his masterpiece?

Excerpt: He turned to his side, looking at a few of the other instrumentalists who were on stage with him, nodding again. "I'm sure by now you are aware that the title of this concert is Masterpiece Theatre, and that I dedicated it to the love of my life," he smiles as he says it, and my heart flutters as I realize that, even after all the troubles we've been through, he truly loves me, and that our relationship still amazes him just as much as it did on our first date. I close my eyes as he continues speaking, allowing the voice that I loved so much to wash over me. "However, this concert is also dedicated to our story, as well as – of course – my 'masterpiece', and along with it I've gone through so many ups and downs it's hard to keep track." He took a breath, looking down as he began strumming the strings of the guitar in no noticeable pattern. "I've split my 'masterpiece' into three parts, just as I have split the story into three parts. The story can be a story by itself, or it can go along with the music, just the same for the songs. You don't need to know the story behind them to understand them, but this is the way I planned it. You must understand that you are not at a concert in the usual sense. You are at a life reading, with me as the reader. I'm telling you my story, and I hope you take something from it." I open my eyes.

Well, anyways, don't have much else to post about, I guess. It's a little late, but Happy Easter everybody! My brother came up for the weekend and he just left to return home a couple of hours ago, but it was great to have him around. I'll admit I was writing a lot of the time he was visiting, but I'm a pretty good at multi-tasking.

For those of you not in 'the know' yet, before the end of the week I will be posting a new Strange Imprints story (full title: Strange Imprints: Old Foxes) and the basis of it is that it is a prequel of sorts for Play the Fox. I hope all fans enjoy that. When I post it, I will also be posting an outtake for Play the Fox, in which the information for the prequel will be in the ending author's note. I hope all of you who read this look forward to it!

Remember me.

Edit: I forgot to talk about my other upcoming stories. I'm not sure if you've notice, but currently the list of upcoming stories on this blog is down, simply because I'm sifting through all of my ideas and refining the ones I am sure I want to write. Since I have writer's block for Edward's Inferno, I am going to be posting other stories that will, hopefully, help me get over the block. The most stories I will ever have going at one time will be five, simply because there are five working days in a week. Sometime tomorrow I will be posting the official list of stories I will be taking underway come May 1st (which is my birthday, by the way :D), though a few of them will be posted before then. Like I said, there may be five, so along with Edward's Inferno, Masterpiece Theatre: Part I, and Strange Imprints: Old Foxes, and maybe one or two more if I feel up to taking on that much at this time. If I do, I'm think maybe one or two more Strange Imprints stories, but maybe I'll finally get the sequel to Tier in Geist, Seele Kinder up. Who knows...

Totalitarian Tuesday

Listening to: Russian Roulette by Rihanna.

Explanation of the title: we have this word of the day thing at school, and the word has to start with the same letter as the day, and this was today's word. Yea...

This is really a completely pointless post. Well, not really, but the main reason I have for posting it is. We'll get to that at the end, though.

So, to all Strange Imprints: Play the Fox readers out there (have no idea what I'm talking about? click here), I would just like to - semi-happily - point out that I am writing more in this particular sub-universe of my Strange Imprints 'universe'. The new story, Strange Imprints: Old Foxes (banner here) will be about Bella's life before she meets Edward. So, basically, it shall be about Bella's life as a fox with her very fox-like family.

Fun, right?

Also, I have two sort-of-serious-but-maybe-not stories that I am writing, and am - once again - at the stage where I am ready to tackle more than one story. Old Foxes will be sort of like a side project, but I will be putting it on the posting schedule. The two stories are titled 3 Shades of Isabella Cullen and Indications, directly below this paragraph you shall find a summary and excerpt of each one, so you can have an idea of what may or may not be to come.

3 Shades of Isabella Cullen

Summary: Edward Masen – chubby, nerdy freshman at Forks High. Isabella Cullen – astonishingly beautiful, artistic junior at Forks High. She takes him under her wing, and despite their differences, fall in love.

Excerpt from Chapter One: My world nearly stopped when I heard a sweet, lilting voice behind me just as a gentle, cold hand was set on my shoulder. “You know, Michael, it isn’t very nice to treat a fellow student that way. I’m sure Principal Greene would agree, don’t you think?”

It was almost comical the way this ‘Michael’ and the two girls widened their eyes on shock, before stuttering out apologies. As they scampered away, nearly running into the building in fright, the voice let out an airy chuckle, and the hand squeezed my shoulder gently. Working up the courage, I turned towards my rescuer, nearly falling over myself in shock as my eyes met the most beautiful creature I had ever seen.

Indications (For those in the know, this is the story I was talking about on my poll - the one that is kind of like Tier in Geist but not really? Yea, well, this is it...)

Summary: Veneron: a world where soul mates are brought together by matching tattoos. Edward and Bella are a pair of next generation Breeders; read along as they find each other and learn to live with thoughts of the future.

Excerpt from Chapter One: Across her left hand, and, he knew, her forearm, as well, was a strange, intricate design. He had seen this design many times, though he had never seen the girl before in his life. As she met his eyes, he confirmed that fact; he would have remembered those eyes, like deep chocolate pools that led him down into her soul.

As they stared at each other, he brought his left hand slowly up over the roof of his car. Her brow puckered in confusion, before her eyes left his and gazed at his now visible hand, widening before flicking back to his in wonder.

Did either of those stories catch your interest? I hope so...

Anyways, this is the main reason for this post (you know, the semi-pointless thing I was talking about earlier? :P). ... guess what came out yesterday... THE OFFICIAL ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO THE TWILIGHT SAGA!

Anyways, see what I meant by it being pointless? That's really what this whole post was about - getting to write that in CAPS lock. Yep, I'm a dork, and I'm content with this fact. I shall be going now...

Script Frenzy

Listening to: the Sweater Song by Hedley. (Good song. If you haven't heard it, definitely YouTube it.)

Explanation of the title: go to this website to find out.

Okay, well.

As mentioned last post, I've deleted Fanged and ZSE from FF, and so far it's going great. There are no longer any distractions for me to go through before I can update Edward's Inferno (a story that I wish had more readers...). I promised my friend, doves1993, that I would update three days in a row because she's gone for three days, and she said it would be awesome if she returned to three new updates in her inbox. I've already posted two of the three basically-promised chapters (Chapter 10 and Chapter 11) and am already working on the last one. I'm thinking this story is going to be longer than any of my other ones, but where's the harm in that?

If you haven't already, please head over to my FF profile (click here) and take the poll to be found there, please. I'd really like your opinion. The poll concerns a new story idea of mine, and if you would like more information on said story, email me at xlaraconners@live.co.uk and I will send you a little excerpt of it so you can tell me you like it.

That's all, folks!

Northern Credit Union Financial Guide... How Interesting?

Listening to: You are Mine by Mutemath.

Explanation of the title: A commercial was on, and it was rather annoying, so... it effected my blogging, I suppose.

This is just a short note: I have deleted two of my stories (sorry if you were reading them!), Fanged and ZSE. I just haven't been able to write ANYTHING about them, and I hate just leaving them there for months. So... I just deleted them, and hopefully I'll be able to get to them soon.

On another note, though; there is a poll on my profile (http://dft.ba/-h_7). I would appreciate it if you head on over there and submit your opinion on the question! It effects - well, sort of effects - the future of my writing.

League of Superirritating

Listening to: My friends humming the song from Lord of the Rings. (FYI: It's annoying).

Hi.  You don't know me.

I mean, technically you do, but I'm not Xlara.  I took her computer in class.  This is Leany.

She wants me to mention a few things.  Like how fanfiction is malfunctioning and she won't be able to post the lastest update of Edward's Inferno for awhile.  But rest assured, it's done. c:

Now that that's out of the way, I can talk about whatever I like.  The amount of power I feel in my possession is exhilarating!  Who knows?  I could convince you people using my super awesome persuasion powers to believe something Xlara totally doesn't agree with.

But I won't.

Because I'm nice.

Not really.

But still.

Okay, it's Xlara now. Leany wanted to write my blog post for me, so I let her...

Anyways, I put up a new page - well, I changed the name of the 'Images' page to 'Banners' and then I made another page called 'Images'. I'm strange, I know. Currently, the 'Images' page just has a few pictures of OCs from Edward's Inferno, such as his mother and father. Go check it out.

That's all, folks.

The worlds just a circle of people who don't really care... maybe.

Listening to: Serenade for the Doll by Claude Debussy. (If anybody is actually reading this and keeping track, I would like to point out the complete contrast between this song and the song named on the last post (which was Gate 21 by Serj Tankian, by the way); if you're wondering why I'm bringing this up, the song Gate 21 is categorized in the genre of 'metal'. Serenade for the Doll is a classical piano piece. Just saying.)

As stated above, I doubt anybody actually reads this blog. I mean, I have like three subscribers. Total. It's not like I really care and all; the point is, I'm at least trying to get people to know more about what's going on in my life behind the words I type for their enjoyment.

This post is really pointless, by the way. The only reason I wanted to post it was because I recently changed the layout of the blog; well, I made a new banner for the top of the blog, anyway. I like it. But the last one was all orange-y and red-y and sunset-y, and I think that now the banner is a dull black-ish grey colour, it makes my blog seem darker.

Just to let you know, I've spent about half an hour contemplating this. I really don't have a life.

Oh, and curious - if there is anybody out there reading this, could you please answer this question for me (oh, and the question is about said banner, too): at the bottom of the banner, it has the URL for this blog. Can you see it? I know this may seem like a completely random question, but you see I was checking my blog from the   computer at my school, and I noticed that I couldn't see the URL. I'm just wondering if it's only because my school has a crappy server.

Yes. That is all.

Remember me.

To hold in contrast the two banners, here's the original one:

And here's the darker one you now have the pleasure of seeing:

One month and six days has gone too fast...

Listening to: Gate 21 by Serj Tankian. (Just discovered him, and I think he's amazing. Singer from System of a Down, just recently put out his own solo album).

Well, I have a hard time coming up with titles for blogposts, I would just like to point out that it's been one month and six days since I last posted here. Yea... original, aren't I?

So, I suppose we have a few things to catch up on.

In that time, I've finished two stories: Strange Imprints: A Lion Sleeps and Soul Fliers. Though I loved writing these two stories, I have to say that I feel a strange sense of relief to have them both done and out of the way.

On the note of stories, as well, I would like to mention that two of the other three stories I have underway are currently on temporary hiatus - I know, I suck. The two stories on hiatus are Fanged and ZSE, while the one I'm currently punching into my open word document is Edward's Inferno. I figured since I started it first, I should work on finishing it first. My schedule was working out for awhile, until I hit my writer's block, so I'm going to wait until these three stories are finished before giving it another go.

In a completely different direction, to get over my writer's block I've been dabbling with some other story ideas, so you'll soon see the 'Upcoming Stories' list grow a little longer. I wonder if I'll ever get to any of them...

Something to think about.

Anyways, if I think of something else, I'll just add to this post later...

Happy Valentine's Day, Soul Fliers!

Listening to: Soul Meets Body by Death Cab for Cutie. (The theme song for Soul Fliers!)

I have two main things I would like to touch on, so I'm going to welcome back my lovely list making abilities. Oh, and since I most likely won't be blogging about anything tomorrow, Happy Day of Love! Moving on...

1) I have recently hit a huge spot of inspiration for Soul Fliers. I don't know how I did it, but I am currently writing chapter thirteen - even though I've only updated up to chapter nine on FF. Isn't that awesome? I'm completely over my writer's block, now, and I'm really happy about it. I'm breaking my schedule a bit because I don't have it in me to make you wait a week just to update the chapters. That would be cruel. I'll be updating it every two days until I either finish the story or my inspiration wanes, whatever comes first. Now that I'm done about Soul Fliers, I would also like to say that I'm almost finished writing Strange Imprints: A Lion Sleeps, and will possibly be ditching the schedule for that story as well - going to begin writing Wednesday's chapter and then we'll see where that goes...

2) Point number two is slightly worse news. As I want to focus on my two largest followed stories, I'm going to be putting the other three stories I have on a temporary hiatus until I finish them. They might be on hiatus for longer, we'll just have to see - so, I won't be updating either Fanged, ZSE, or Edward's Inferno for awhile. Sorry to those who actually pay attention to those stories.

Anyways, I've listed the two things, and now I'm going to sign off. See you through the written word!

Thursday and Friday Author's Note

Listening to: the Geeks Get the Girls by American Hi-Fi.

As the title of this post states, this is the author's notes for today (February 10th) and tomorrow (I think you can figure it out). As my updating schedule on FF states, today and tomorrow are the set dates for the next updates of Fanged and Edward's Inferno. Unfortunately, these two stories are m hardest ones to write, and it seems I've hit a bit of a block... for both of them. I've been exhausted all week, just started a new semester of school, been stressed about my marks for my finals, and had a few appointments to attend. It hasn't been an easy week.

Oh, and it turns out that - as far as my vision goes - I have a  'serious problem'. Whatever that means.

So, I apologize to the followers of these two stories; I'll try to update before next Thursday and Friday, with an added bonus of chapters on those days. We'll have to see how everything goes.

February Fiction

Listening to: Fall for You by Secondhand Serenade.

Okay, though the title might be slightly misleading, I highly doubt that the month of February will see any new fics from me. I have five stories already going, and five weekdays, so I think everything matches up pretty good.

That doesn't mean I haven't gotten any new ideas, though! I just don't think I'm going to get to them for awhile.

The main reason for this blogpost is I have recently realized the aspect of confusion on my 'upcoming stories' list from my FF profile. There are two upcoming series listed there, Seven Sins Series and Seven Virtues Series. I would like to say that the stories that belong to these particular series will have no connection with each other, and most likely even less connection to the sin/virtue that they are connected to. This is very different from my Strange Imprints Universe, as those stories all revolve around the same context. I have only three summaries up for these confusing series, and they are all very different story lines.

Just to put it out there - the reason why these plot lines are all going to be part of either the Seven Sins Series or the Seven Virtues Series is because I liked the idea of having a set series that fell under the category of Seven Sins or Seven Virtues. I suppose you could call me a very vain writer; it looks good to have a series named something like that. When I finally find time to begin writing/uploading these stories onto FF, the title will appear like this: Seven Sins: Lust or Seven Virtues: Chastity. Much like my Strange Imprints Universe stories. (More on those later...)

Now, I would also like to address some changes to this blog. Sometime this afternoon I am going to be adding two more pages. One will be called Images and the other will be called Upcoming. As you can probably assume, the first one is going to be based around images/banners for my fics or stories, and the second will be my list of upcoming fics or stories. (About the 'or stories' thing, I am also currently working on writing a few novels, and finishing editing/re-writing Curse of Life).

I believe I wrote 'more on that later...' regarding my Strange Imprints Universe. I have already gotten the idea for the next addition to this series, and hopefully once the time comes to begin writing it all goes well. I'm surprised by the amount of people who enjoy this series, and I hope I can keep all of those followers. Just for an added bonus (and so that you can create your own ideas of what the next Strange Imprints fic is about), the title of it is going to be Strange Imprints: To Ride a Horse.

I'm Not Crazy...

Listening to: Unwell by Matchbox 20

Okay, well... as you can see I've been working on a few more stories in addition to Soul Fliers and A Lion Sleeps. Those stories are: ZSE, Fanged, and Edward's Inferno. I'd appreciate it if you went and checked them out. You can find them here: XlaraC - FF.

Also, at the above link, you can find an updating schedule for my stories. I thought I'd give it a try. If you want to know what it is but don't have time to go and check out my profile, here it is:

Monday - Soul Fliers
Tuesday - ZSE
Wednesday - Strange Imprints: A Lion Sleeps
Thursday - Fanged
Friday - Edward's Inferno

Also, on my FF profile, is a list of upcoming stories. I will be updating it with more information (and most likely more stories) as I go along - after all, the inspiration never stops coming... well, for me, anyway. Except for Soul Fliers, it seems...

Speaking of Soul Fliers... guess which story of mine is officially of hiatus! Yes, that's right: SF is back in business. As you can see in the aforementioned schedule, I will be trying to get a chapter out every Monday, so enjoy!

Also, a friend of mine, Leany, has recently joined FF and has come out with a story already. It's a Pokemon fic called The Daunted, the Puzzled and the Wayward. You can read the story here: Leany's Story, or go and check out her FF profile here: LeanyJ. Also, just for kicks, Leany is on deviantArt, and is quite a good drawer, if I do say so myself. Her dA profile can be found here: Amezze.

And, now that I've brought up dA, the link to my dA profile will be at the end of this paragraph. There, you can find random poems as well as an essay or two, but mostly I have banners that go along with my stories! Go and check them out: XlaraC - dA.

Anyways, I think that's all for now...
